kill yourself and someone you love

These disturbing images from China show a distressed woman attempting suicide on the street.

The woman tried to slash her wrists with a razor sharp blade, before slashing her throat.

i never know what to think when people make public displays of their suicide. is it their last act of defiance in front of a mad world or is it an act of self-destruction in an attempt to get help and/or attention? The look in her eyes in the first picture would indicate the former…
